The Fotiva Difference
We built Fotiva with a "Privacy First" philosophy. Using modern web technologies like HTML5 Canvas and WASM, we've moved all the heavy lifting—from frame application to GIF generation—off our servers and directly into your web browser.
How It Works
When you click "Strike a Pose!", the following happens entirely on your machine:
Zero-Upload Compositing
Your photo is drawn onto a canvas alongside your chosen frame. This merging happens in your browser's memory, not on a remote computer.
No Database Storage
Since we don't upload the files, we have nothing to store. Your history is yours alone, kept only in your temporary session.
Why This Matters
Beyond just privacy, local processing makes Fotiva incredibly fast. There are no upload or download queues, no server outages to worry about, and it works even on slower internet connections once the initial page has loaded.
